Inspiring Children

Inspiring Children
Does you son or daughter love to laugh and make others laugh? Does your child want to be the center of attention or perhaps turns everything into a drama?

Congratulations you have an Inspiring Child. The "I" Child is influenced by an fast paced internal motor and the needle of this child's compass is drawn heavily to people. This child can be characterized as Inspiring, Influencing, Inducing, interactive, Interested in people, and sometimes Illogical. This child could be called the "Star".

If you are still unsure if this is your child, or you knowing it is your child you want some more info keep reading.

Clues to determine if your child is in fact a "I" type personality.

1. Who? This word is used by them when processing information. For example when asking them if they want to go to the movies they will tend to ask "Who all is going to be there, or who is in the movie?"

2. Speech Patterns are talkative, varied tones, and easily distracted..

3. Their body language will include expressive, and friendly posture. Their posture and facial expressions will many time be amusing.

4. The best way to do everything is the fun way.

5. Takes Risk especially if everyone else is doing it.

6. Like to do things with people in a playful manner.

7. Hardly ever slows down. Compared to other children, not to us adults.

8. They are great a doing short tasks, and can provide a good strong start for longer task. The longer the task the harder it is for them to finish.

My oldest Walker has some of all of the 4 types, like most of us do, but his "D" and "I" are the dominant traits. He is always singing, and the nervous energy that he and I share causes lots of hand banging noises. It is hard for him to sit still. When studying the Bible, I am learning to find a balance between reading and interacting by discussing what we read.

Keep in mind that you child will be a mixture of all four personality types so check back in next week to look at the "S" type Child.

Hint - Remember that learning and chores can be fun. Help them have fun doing those things.
